One-day small group workshop now open for bookings
Saturday 28th of November 2026
Ready to scratch beneath the surface?
Discover the tactile art of intaglio printmaking with an experimental twist
This workshop introduces the foundational mechanics of drypoint etching, from incising your design onto your aluminium plate to hand-wiping inks and printing your own images under guided tuition
Join Nicky Carey for an experimental dive into drypoint etching, where mistakes turn into masterpieces. This workshop will break the rules of traditional printmaking by encouraging you to play with alternative scratching tools, variable inking techniques, and textured backgrounds
Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned artist looking to loosen up your practice, you will leave with a suite of unique, atmospheric prints and a fresh perspective on the intaglio process
